Julian Malatini joins FC Cincinnati on loan

Julian Malatini is set to leave SV Werder Bremen. The Argentinian will join MLS side FC Cincinnati on loan until the end of the season.
“Given the make-up of the squad, Julian was unlikely to get the minutes he needs here. We therefore agreed that a loan move made sense. We hope regular football in MLS will help him continue his development and we wish him all the best,” explained Peter Niemeyer, head of professional football at SV Werder Bremen. He added: “There are still a few residency and travel documents to be finalised, so Julian will continue training with us in Bremen for the next few days before travelling to the USA once those have been sorted.”
Julian Malatini joined Werder from Defensa y Justicia in January 2024. The 25-year-old has made 34 appearances for the Green-Whites in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal to date.
