SV Werder Bremen have strengthened their squad with the addition of midfielder Dariusz Stalmach. The 20-year-old joins the Green-Whites from 2. Bundesliga side 1. FC Magdeburg.

“Dariusz is a promising, ambitious player whose development we have been following for some time. We believe he still has more to come and want to work with him to keep improving his game,” said Peter Niemeyer, Werder’s head of professional football.

Head coach Daniel Thioune is looking forward to working with the new arrival: “Dariusz is a technically gifted player who still has plenty of development ahead of him. That means we need to be sensible with expectations, but he will certainly add something to our squad and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Dariusz Stalmach is eager to get started: “I’m absolutely delighted to be making the move to SV Werder and taking on this challenge. I can’t wait to play in the Bundesliga, and especially at the Weserstadion.”

Dariusz Stalmach came through at Górnik Zabrze before joining the academy of Italian giants AC Milan in 2022. In January 2025, he moved to 1. FC Magdeburg, where he made 28 appearances across the 2. Bundesliga, the Regionalliga and the DFB-Pokal.
