SV Werder Bremen have completed their first signing for the new season. 19-year-old Kenny Quetant will join the Green-Whites from French top-flight side Le Havre AC on a free transfer. Peter Niemeyer, Werder’s head of professional football, confirmed the news on Thursday.

“We’re really pleased that Kenny, a young and highly talented player with real potential, has chosen to join Werder Bremen. We want to support him as he takes the next steps in his development here. He has already gained his first experience in one of Europe’s top leagues, and we believe that he can fulfil his potential with us,” explained Peter Niemeyer.

Head coach Daniel Thioune is also pleased to welcome the club’s first new signing for the coming campaign. “Kenny is a well-rounded, technically gifted striker with plenty of pace. He has an exciting profile and gives us another attacking option for the future.”

Kenny Quetant is looking forward to his new challenge in Bremen. “Werder are a really interesting club and I’m excited for my time in Bremen. I want to be successful with the team and get as much playing time as possible. I’m also looking forward to playing at the Weserstadion, because I’ve heard the fans there are incredible.”

The 19-year-old Frenchman was born in Paris and came through the academy at Le Havre, where he made the step up from the youth setup to the first team. He made his Ligue 1 debut in December 2025. The 1.89m centre-forward has made nine appearances in the French top flight so far this season, scoring once, as well as featuring once in the cup.
