SV Werder Bremen have completed their search for a striker with the loan signing of Jovan Milosevic from fellow Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart. The move was confirmed on Sunday by Peter Niemeyer, head of professional football at Werder.
“We’re pleased to have brought Jovan in. He’s a young, talented striker who made excellent progress during his most recent loan spell at Partizan Belgrade. He fits the profile we were looking for very well, and now it’s about integrating him into the team as quickly as possible,” explained Peter Niemeyer.
Head coach Horst Steffen is also looking forward to working with the new arrival: “Jovan is a striker who links the play well and has a good eye for goal. He suits the way we want to play. Even though he’s still only 20, he’s gained a lot of match experience recently in Serbia’s top flight.”

The 1.90-metre forward is eager for the challenge ahead in Bremen: “I’m really looking forward to this opportunity at a club rich in history and tradition. I want to continue developing at Werder and in the Bundesliga and help the team achieve its goals.”
Milosevic, who has made one appearance for Serbia’s senior national team, joined VfB Stuttgart from FK Vojvodina in 2023. After five Bundesliga appearances for Stuttgart, he moved to FC St. Gallen on loan in February 2024, scoring five goals in 22 matches. Following a brief return to Stuttgart in January 2025, he joined Partizan Belgrade on loan, where he went on to make 30 appearances and score 19 goals across all competitions over the following year.
