SVW’s Bundesliga survival confirmed

SV Werder Bremen have secured their Bundesliga status and will play in the German top division in the 2026/27 season as a result. Following Saturday’s results on matchday 33 of the season, SVW are mathematically safe from dropping into the bottom three places in the league.
“It goes without saying that we’re glad to be safe from relegation ahead of the end of the season thanks to results elsewhere. We would have rather done it ourselves with a positive result today in Hoffenheim but, of course, we’ll take it. That being said, we’re not happy with how this season has gone. In the game against Borussia Dortmund at the Weserstadion, we want to end it on a relatively high note. Then, we’ll conclude the analysis of the campaign which has already started,” said SVW managing director for sport Clemens Fritz.
