SV Werder Bremen will be looking to win their second Bundesliga game in a row on Sunday, as they travel to face Union Berlin (17:30 CET). There are question marks over whether striker Jovan Milošević will be fit enough for the match. Here is a full squad update.

The Serbian striker suffered a back contusion in the 2-0 win over Heidenheim and is yet to train with the team this week. “He fell in a nasty way, and he's still feeling some pain,” said head coach Daniel Thioune. “Best-case scenario, he comes to Berlin with us, and we decide on Sunday. I'm definitely not ruling anything out today.”

Thioune is keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to naming a potential replacement, should Milošević miss out. Justin Njinmah spent the start of the week recovering from an infection, so there are still doubts as to his fitness. Salim Musah is also set to return to the squad, alongside Keke Topp. “Romano Schmid has played in the number nine role before,” said Thioune. “We are well-stocked in all areas at the top of the pitch and I will make my decision on Sunday.”

Karim Coulibaly (thigh injury) is also set to miss out, however his coach is hopeful that the centre-back can return to team training at some point next week.

Felix Agu (adductor injury), Samuel Mbangula (thigh injury), Maximilian Wöber (muscular issues), Amos Pieper (minor procedure) and Wesley Adeh (ligament tear) will not be available for Sunday’s game. Mitchell Weiser (cruciate ligament tear) and Victor Boniface (knee surgery) are both suffering long-term injuries and remain unavailable.
