Niklas Moisander is to remain a Werder player and will extend his contract at the club. Sporting director Frank Baumann confirmed the news on Friday morning. The central defender will put pen to paper on a new deal over the coming days.
After their training camp in Zillertal, SV Werder are straight off to Essen, where the Green-Whites will take part in the Interwetten Summer Cup 2018 on Saturday 21st July. In the tournament’s semi final, Kohfeldt’s side will take on hosts Rot-Weiß Essen. Kick-off is at 16:00 CEST.

Jaroslav Drobny will be out of action for several weeks. Close examinations on Monday afternoon showed that the 38-year-old goalkeeper had sustained a muscle injury that morning. Due to the injury, Drobny will not travel to the training camp in Zillertal.
