It’s official: Werder Bremen and Robert Bauer will go their separate ways. The 24-year-old has joined Arsenal Tula in the Russian Premier League for an undisclosed fee.

“In the beginning he played really well for us and showed promise, but unfortunately his development stagnated at our club. We wish him every success with his new team,” explained Werder's sporting director Frank Baumann.

Robert Bauer arrived at Werder Bremen from FC Ingolstadt during the 2016/17 season, eventually going on to make 46 competitive appearances for the first team and scoring one goal. The versatile defender was loaned out to 1. FC Nuremberg last season where he played 24 Bundesliga games.
