Milot Rashica is Werder’s Player of the Season! Fans chose their standout Green-White in a vote on the club’s Facebook page.
The 22-year-old Kosovan was Bremen’s deadliest weapon in the second half of the season and registered a total of nine goals and five assists in the 2018/19 Bundesliga campaign, adding a further three goals and one assist in the DFB-Pokal.
The attacker’s rising star is replicated in the transfer market too, with his value increasing from €7 million to €20 million according to transfermarkt.de. Rashica produced a number of memorable moments this season, from his goal in the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Bayern and last-minute free-kick against Frankfurt, to his braces against Augsburg and Schalke. Rashica topped the vote ahead of Jiri Pavlenka and Claudio Pizarro in second and third respectively. Maximilian Eggestein finished fourth ahead of captain Max Kruse.
