SV Werder Bremen and kit supplier hummel have unveiled the new away shirt for the 2026/27 season, the final addition to this year’s kit line-up. The deep dark-green design features subtle tonal stripes woven into the fabric, complemented by premium detailing for an elegant, timeless look. It is a shirt that combines understated style with unmistakable Werder identity, both on and off the pitch.

The Fabric of Werder is about more than the shirt itself. The campaign draws on Bremen’s long-standing textile heritage while reflecting what Werder stands for today. Tradition and innovation come together, with high-quality materials, modern design and contemporary performance all rooted in the club’s Green-and-White identity. The new away shirt brings those ideas together: woven from history, made for tomorrow.

After the bold third shirt and the classic green-and-white home kit, the new away shirt takes a more understated approach. Geometric details in orange, white and dark green feature on the collar and sleeve cuffs, adding subtle flashes of colour. The white hummel logo on the chest and the brand’s signature chevrons on the shoulders provide further contrast. The Werder diamond and championship star complete the look.

Klaus Filbry, Werder Bremen CEO, is delighted with the new shirt: “Our partner hummel has once again done a fantastic job with the new away shirt. The shirt combines timeless elegance with a sporting feel and perfectly reflects our ambition to bring tradition and modernity together. I’m sure our teams and our fans will be proud to wear it, whether at the stadium, on the road or simply day to day.”

“Our partnership with Werder Bremen is built on respect for the club’s history, and this shirt is a perfect example of that. From the tonal stripes and the geometric details on the collar and cuffs to the nod to Bremen’s textile heritage, every element reflects what Werder stands for. We’re proud to give the fans a shirt that looks just as good in the stands as it does away from the stadium,” said hummel CEO Lars Stentebjerg.

The campaign for the new away shirt was shot at the Bremen Cotton Exchange, a building closely linked to the city’s textile heritage. For decades, it was at the heart of Bremen’s cotton trade and played an important role in a sector that helped shape the city. Its distinctive architecture now provides the backdrop for a shirt designed to bring Werder’s past and future together.

The setting reflects the thinking behind The Fabric of Werder: Bremen’s textile heritage reimagined through modern performance fabrics and contemporary design. The result is the latest chapter in the story of Werder’s shirts – woven from tradition, made for tomorrow.
