SV Werder began their last week of training of the 2025/26 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Green-Whites host Borussia Dortmund at the Weserstadion to round off their Bundesliga campaign. Three players sat out the opening session of the week. Here is the squad update.
Niklas Stark and Maximilian Wöber were both rested as part of their workload management, while Mick Schmetgens missed out due to minor foot problems. Otherwise, the only absentees were the same as recently: Karl Hein (thumb), Julian Malatini (syndesmosis ligament), Keke Topp (cruciate ligament), Leonardo Bittencourt (muscle) and Mitchell Weiser (cruciate ligament).
