Werder head coach Daniel Thioune will be without his attacker Samuel Mbangula this weekend. The 22-year-old couldn’t complete training on Wednesday after picking up an injury. An MRI scan at the Paracelsus Clinic on Thursday determined that the Belgian has suffered a thigh muscle injury and will definitely miss Saturday’s home game against 1. FC Heidenheim.

“Samuel has qualities we would have loved to call on for the upcoming run of games. That makes it all the more important that he’s back out on the pitch for us as soon as possible,” said Werder head coach Daniel Thioune.
