Marco Friedl receives one-game ban

The Sports Court of the German Football Association (DFB) has handed Marco Friedl a one-match suspension. As a result, Werder's captain will miss the upcoming derby against Hamburger SV this Saturday, 18th April. Kick-off at the Weserstadion is scheduled for 15:30 CEST.
Friedl brought down Ragnar Ache as the final man during Sunday's game away at 1. FC Köln, and was subsequently shown a straight red card in the 24th minute of play. Friedl and SV Werder Bremen have accepted the verdict, which is now legally binding.
