Skelly Alvero joins Amiens on loan

Skelly Alvero has departed Werder Bremen on transfer deadline day. The 23-year-old is returning to his native France and has joined Ligue 2 club Amiens SC on loan until the summer, Werder’s head of professional football Peter Niemeyer announced on Monday.
“It’s important for Skelly to get more playing time. That hasn’t been the case for him with us recently. That’s why we’re pleased to have found this solution. We’re confident his minutes will increase significantly in Amiens and that he’ll be able to gain plenty of match practice,” Niemeyer explained.
Alvero joined Werder from Olympique Lyon two years ago, initially on loan, before completing a permanent move in summer 2024. The 2.02-metre-tall midfielder has made 20 competitive appearances for Werder and scored once.
