The EUROPEAN WEEK OF SPORTS takes place between the 23th and 30th September, with the hashtag #BeActive calling everyone to ‘be active’ and get fit. For WERDER BEWEGT, this motto applies to a variety of areas throughout the whole year. From the Diaper League to sports for disabled people - there are exciting opportunities to get active every week.

DIAPER LEAGUE

In the Diaper League, the motto "Lebenslang Grün-Weiß" applies from an early age. Within this context an extraordinary promotion for the physical development of children has been implemented. Child-friendly courses make it easier for newborns and their parents to start their new lives. There is a family membership reduction for only five euros per month. Whether it's a toddler‘s group, children‘s gymnastics or baby’s swimming - the Diaper League offers plenty of exercises for parents and children.

SPIELRAUM

With the SPIELRAUM program, children and adolescents between the ages of ten and 14 get the opportunity to play sports. In cooperation with public agencies and institutions, young people are moving into places that were previously unused. They provide the opportunity for sports, fun and personal development. The program thus serves as a supplement to Bremen’s usual offer of social work for adolescents.

SPORTS FOR DISABLED PEOPLE

Inclusion plays a major role at the SV Werder Bremen and is to become more important in the coming years – even within the club. The Green-Whites offer various sports for children, adolescents and adults with disabilities. In addition to sports such as football, handball, athletics and blind football, additional sports lessons and an inclusive Ball School are offered. At the same time, there are possibilities to participate in various SV Werder Bremen programs, such as the "SPECIAL YOUTH CAMP", the WERDER BEWEGT football days, attending away games with the Kids Club or the Special Olympics football day.

Ball Club in kindergartens and elementary schools

The Ball Cub serves as the foundation for all basic ball sports. To include the little ones into this project as well, appointments are held every week at various kindergartens and elementary schools, where Werder employees work together with the children to improve their skills with the ball.
