After the successful auction of the Werder Christmas tree shirts in aid of the SV Werder Bremen Foundation, fans will once again have the chance to get their hands on the sought-after SVW 125-year anniversary shirts on the day of the men’s and women’s team matches against 1. FC Heidenheim and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The previous auctioning of the Christmas shirts raised a total of €35,000, which the SV Werder Bremen Foundation are now using to promote and support girls’ sports programmes.
Saturday 10th February is Werder’s designated anniversary matchday, which is part of the birthday week celebrating 125 years since the club’s founding. Werder’s women’s side kicked off the day at 12:00 CET with their match against TSG Hoffenheim in the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga. Not long after, the men will host 1. FC Heidenheim in the Bundesliga (15:30 CET).
As part of the celebrations, two auctions in aid of the SV Werder Bremen Foundation will take place. This time, the items will be auctioned separately between the women’s and men’s teams. The auction will, as usual, be held on matchwornshirt.com, and the profits will go to the SV Werder Bremen Foundation.
Three signed and framed Werder Women’s shirts will be auctioned.
Worn or match-ready shirts and shorts (separate auctions, not as a bundle), as well as two anniversary shirts framed and signed by the whole team will be auctioned.
The SV Werder Bremen Foundation was established in 2009 jointly between Sport-Verein “Werder” von 1899 e.V. and SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA with the aim of supporting chosen social, sporting and educational projects both in Germany and abroad. The focus is on the promotion of sport, education and schooling, international relations, the prevention of violence, and charitable causes.
