"We are delighted that the professional footballers are coming to the summer training camp in the Zillertal again this year. First and foremost, of course, they will play football, train and prepare; but probably also find a bit of time out from football life while taking the time for enjoyment, experience and relaxation. We wish the team every success and keep our fingers crossed for the next season," said Beate Kassner, Managing Director of Zillertal Tourismus GmbH.
After the intensive training sessions in the Park Stadium in Zell am Ziller, regeneration is also on the programme. As in previous years, Florian Kohfeldt's team will stay at the Zillerseasons DasPosthotel. "The hotel offers us everything we need to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Also, it is located in the heart of Zell am Ziller and is close to the training grounds. Everything is perfect for our stay," says Baumann.
"We hope that by the summer the situation around the pandemic will have calmed down and that we can look forward to many green and white fans in addition to the team," adds Ferdinand Lechner, chairman of the Zell-Gerlos Tourism Association, Zillertal Arena. In this regard, the Zillertal Tourismus GmbH and Werder Bremen have the development of the Coronavirus pandemic in focus and are working at full speed on the program surrounding the training camp. This applies to potential friendly matches as well as training sessions. Whether the popular fan trip or the WERDER Football School' PROFICAMP can be held is not yet clear in light of the current situation. "We are working hard to bring the training camp in line with the official regulations. However, as the situation can change at any time between now and July, we will only be able to provide further details on the program at a later date," said Frank Baumann.
