Möhwald, who scored his first goal of the season in Bielefeld, highlighted what the “big points” meant for the club in the rearranged game against Arminia. “It gives us confidence. Before this week, we said that we had to be at the races because we were playing games against direct rivals, Köln and Bielefeld.” The two games were not Werder’s finest performances of the season but the players did their “duty”, as Kevin Möhwald describes it.
The fresh confidence could do the Green-Whites some good in the next few games. On Saturday, we have another game at home to Bayern Munich. “ it’s always hard against Bayern, but I believe that we showed earlier this season how best to approach them,” says Möhwald. His teammate Josh Sargent is also excited for the match and the chance to “show that we can stick with these players.”
