…Eintracht Frankfurt: “They’re the most in-form team in the league at the moment and they’re on an unbelievable run. They have so much quality in their squad and it’ll be a tough challenge for us on Friday evening. We have to bring back our fighting spirit, our aggression, and our unity as a team both defensively and in attack.”
…leaders in the squad: “I’m in constant communication with them and we’ve talked through the mistakes of course. You really notice the frustration when you speak with them, but it’s something they want to do their best to bounce back from.”
…the defence: “It’s important that we see defending as something that the whole team is responsible for. It’s never the case that five players are responsible for the defence and five for attacking. We have to do both as a team.”
…the shorter week of training: “We’ve got a short week of training with very few sessions. It’s vital that we have the right attitude in training and regain our self-confidence.”
…Josh Sargent: “Josh works very hard for the team. You have to remember that he’s still a very young player. Florian will be taking special care to manage the workload in the upcoming midweek fixtures so that we are always fielding a team with fresh legs. That does mean that we’ll have to rotate our strikers.”
…Davie Selke: “Davie is always someone who brings all of his passion onto the pitch and he can pull a team along with that passion. That’s one of the things that sets him apart from other players. He’s also a real handful for defenders. Basically, he’s not a nice player to have to defend against.”
