SV Werder Bremen overcame SD Eibar 4-0 in their first friendly of their Grassau training camp in Bavaria. Werder put in a convincing performance to beat the top-tier Spanish side, in a scoreline that could have been even greater. In the first half alone, Milot Rashica, Davy Klaassen and Josh Sargent all had great chances to score, but weren’t able to convert. Eibar goalkeeper Rodriguez put in a fine display to keep Werder’s attackers at bay, but was finally beaten in the second half. Davy Klaassen scored from the penalty spot, before Yuya Osako doubled Werder’s lead with a header. Niclas Füllkrug then secured the victory with two set-piece goals, his first since re-joining Werder from Hannover 96 in the summer.
