Head coach Ole Werner has agreed a contract extension shortly after the end of the Bundesliga season. Sporting director Frank Baumann announced the good news on Tuesday afternoon.

SV Werder Bremen achieved their goal of survival for the 2022/23 season, meaning the club will be in the Bundesliga once again next term.
