SV Werder Bremen and kit supplier hummel are proud to tell another story of Bremen with the 2024/25 season’s third shirt. After integrating the city’s flag into the home jersey, the design for the third kit evokes games under the floodlights at the Weserstadion as well as the vibrant Bremen nightlife.

The bar has been set high, with Norway being known for its fascinating landscapes. Amos Pieper grins triumphantly into the camera alongside six of his teammates. The 26-year-old and his team were victorious in a small tournament against two further teams during Monday’s training. “This is already my second winning photo this season,” said a smiling Pieper. “We don’t put too much emphasis on that though, we always try to have fun with it – but today it went really well.”

While the rest of the team were biking through Zillertal, Milos Veljkovic was training individually on the second pitch at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller. After lunch, the Serbia international answered journalists’ questions in the mixed zone in the Hotel MalisGarten. “I had a bit of a knock,” said Veljkovic. “I’m alright again now though.”

SV Werder Bremen lost their first friendly during their training camp in Zillertal. Around 1,800 fans were in attendance at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller as U.S. Lecce ran out 3-0 winners. Their goals were scored by Nikola Krstovic (31’, 34’) and Hamza Rafia (86’).

Mio Backhaus and Keke Topp spent three years together in SV Werder Bremen’s academy. SV Werder Bremen have agreed a contract extension with 24-year-old defender Felix Agu. This was announced by head of professional football Peter Niemeyer ahead of the Green-Whites travelling to their training camp.

Werder’s first friendly ahead of the 2024/25 season ended in a comfortable 2-0 win. Oliver Burke put the Green-Whites ahead almost immediately in the second minute. In the second half, Keke Topp marked his debut for SVW with his first goal for the club.

SV Werder Bremen and primary sponsor MATTHÄI have agreed an early extension to their long-term contract, which will see the construction services provider continue to work with the club until 2029. The existing agreement was valid until 2026.

SV Werder Bremen have arranged another friendly for their stay in Zillertal. Ole Werner’s men will face Italian top-flight side US Lecce on Saturday, 20th July at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller. Kick off will be at 15:00 CEST.

It has been a busy few days for Keke Topp since rejoining Werder from Schalke.
