It was the third auction that SV Werder Bremen have carried out with partner, and the most successful to date! A total of €12,698 was raised for a good cause through the sale of match-worn shirts from the Bundesliga game at home to FC Schalke 04.

The proceeds of the auction will go to the Werder Foundation, which promotes sport and exercise to children and young people in the city of Bremen. The Foundation was established several years ago by SV Werder Bremen and has enjoyed several years of success.

The shirts that were auctioned were signed by their respective players and had the special ‘Green Legend’ sponsor on the front. In addition to the players’ shirts, one home and one away shirt signed by the whole squad was also auctioned. The most popular of the shirts was that of Milot Rashica, with the Kosovan’s shirt fetching a price of €855. This was followed by vice-captain Theodor Gebre Selassie’s shirt, which sold for €739. Leonardo Bittencourt’s shirt raised the third highest total, selling for €725.
