SV Werder Bremen set off for their training camp in Austria on Thursday morning. The plane departed Bremen airport for Munich at 9:30 CEST. From there, the team will then head to Austria. This will be the 11th time SVW have prepared for a season in Zillertal.

Two new faces have travelled south in Jens Stage, who arrived from Denmark yesterday, and Oliver Burke. A deal has been agreed to sign the Scottish attacker, however final formalities need to be completed. He spent last season on loan at Millwall.

Two other new signings, Amos Pieper and Niklas Stark, were also on board. Pieper put pen to paper just days after Werder secured promotion to the Bundesliga, whilst Stark has arrived from Hertha BSC.

Dikeni Salifou, another newbie, will not be in Austria. The 19-year-old suffered a muscle injury in the first pre-season friendly against VfB Oldenburg and will be out for several weeks. He flew with the squad to Munich and will then travel to Donaustauf for treatment.

The 28-man squad for Zillertal:

Pavlenka, Zetterer, Dos Santos Haesler, Backhaus – Jung, Stark, Pieper, Ducksch, Bittencourt, Füllkrug, Veljkovic, Nankishi, Schmid, Schmidt, Rapp, Goller, Kyu-Hyun, Agu, Gruev, Woltemade, Friedl, Groß, Chiarodia, Dinkci, Rosenboom, Brandt, Burke und Stage.
