The team will return on Sunday, 2nd January 2022. They will undergo Covid-19 tests at the wohninvest WESERSTADION in the morning, before travelling to training camp in Spain later that day. The team will stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton La Torre Golf & Spa Resort near Murcia.
Training camp will officially begin on 3rd January 2022. The team will play two friendlies during this time, on 5th and 8th January. Werder will return to Bremen on Sunday, 9th January. Their first competitive match of the new year will be at home against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday, 15th January.
