Marco Friedl’s strong performances for Werder this season have earned him a recall to the Austria squad.
Austria have four Nations League games scheduled for the start of June. They will firstly take on Croatia away from home (3rd June, 20:45 CEST) before two home games against Denmark (6th June, 20:45 CEST) and France (10th June, 20:45 CEST). They will conclude this round of fixtures with a trip to Denmark (13th June, 20:45 CEST).
Marco Friedl has won three caps for Austria’s senior side to date, the last one coming last year during a 1-0 friendly defeat to England.
