Ilia Gruev, part of Bulgaria U21s, played 89 minutes in a 2-0 win over Moldova U21s on Friday (3/9) as part of their qualification campaign for the 2023 European Championship. Their next fixture is on Tuesday, 7th September against Wales (17:30 CEST). Romano Schmid was also in action for his country’s U21s. His Austria team lost 3-1 to Norway, although he did play the full 90 minutes. He could next feature tomorrow against Azerbaijan.
Milos Veljkovic came on in the 84th minute in Serbia’s 4-1 win against Luxembourg on Saturday, 4th September. He will be hoping for more minutes on Tuesday, 7th September against the Republic of Ireland (20:45 CEST). Fabio Chiarodia started in a goalless draw on Friday, 3rd September against Belgium for Italy U17s. Germany U20s, with Nick Woltemade and Lasse Rosenboom in their ranks, will take on Norway today at 15:00 CEST (6/9). The Werder trio of Manuel Mbom, Luca Plogmann and Lars Lukas Mai are all with Germany U21s, whose next game is tomorrow against Latvia (18:15), another qualifier.
