“Tahith has an enormous amount of talent and potential, which he has displayed time and time again playing for us. However, we have always emphasised that it will take time for him to start fulfilling this potential on a consistent basis. Since we have been unable to guarantee him more playing time for the rest of the season, he approached us with the request to end his loan at Werder ahead of schedule. We have agreed to grant this request so that he will be able to find a club where he will be able to play first-team football more frequently. Tahith Chong made 13 appearances for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. In addition to this, the 21-year-old made two appearances in the DFB-Pokal, scoring one goal.
