Two returnees from injury for SV Werder! Ludwig Augustinsson and Niclas Füllkrug have recovered from their respective injuries and are fit for Sunday’s trip to Dortmund to face last season’s runners-up (15:30 CEST). Head coach Florian Kohfeldt was happy to report the comebacks at Friday afternoon’s pre-match press conference.
“Ludwig and Niclas have overcome their individual setbacks well. I’m expecting them both back in full team training tomorrow and they will be in the matchday squad for the game against Borussia Dortmund. We’ll have to wait and see whether they’re in good enough condition to start though,” reported Kohfeldt.
However, Ömer Toprak will not be available to face his former club on Sunday. The centre-back is expected to miss next week’s midweek fixture against Mainz 05 on Wednesday (20:30 CEST). Also missing is young striker Nick Woltemade following his knee injury sustained in training.
