It was a successful night of international action for Yuya Osako and Josh Sargent on Thursday. Osako assisted two of Japan’s goals as they defeated South Korea 3-0 in a friendly. Meanwhile in the USA’s international friendly against Jamaica, Josh Sargent set up the second goal as the Americans beat the Reggae Boyz 4-1.
Osako played 66 minutes of Japan’s victory as he set up two first half goals for Miki Yamane (16’) and fellow Bundesliga pro Daichi Kamada (27’). Japan’s World Cup qualifying campaign continues on Tuesday when the Group F leaders face Mongolia, who sit bottom of the group.

Ludwig Augustinsson and Sweden were able to celebrate a winning start to their World Cup qualifying campaign and a clean sheet as they beat Georgia 1-0 on Thursday evening. Augustinsson played the full 90 minutes in Stockholm.
However, Marco Friedl did not feature in Austria’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Scotland in Glasgow. While Austria continue their qualifying campaign against the Faroe Islands, Augustinsson will face Kosovo and Werder teammate Milot Rashica. Both matches kick off at 20:45 CET on Sunday.
