Maik Nawrocki will spend the 2021/22 season on loan at Legia Warsaw. Frank Baumann, Werder’s sporting director, confirmed on Tuesday that the 20-year-old defender would move back to Poland after spending the second half of last season at Warta Poznań.

“After Maik got some match experience in the Polish first division last season, we’re pleased that he will be back there again this term. Legia Warsaw are a perfect club for him to continue his development at,” said Frank Baumann.

Maik Nawrocki joined Warta Poznań on loan in February 2021 after the Regionalliga Nord was postponed. The 20-year-old Polish youth international played three times in the Ekstraklasa, scoring one goal.
