SV Werder Bremen will be without centre-back Milos Veljkovic for Saturday’s trip to Berlin to take on 1. FC Union Berlin (15:30 CEST). The Serbia international suffered a broken nose in a duel during Wednesday night’s 1-0 loss against Mainz 05.

Team doctor Dr Daniel Hellermann examined Veljkovic on Thursday morning and diagnosed the broken nose that will keep the defender out of the game. However, the 25-year-old has not been ruled out of Werder’s DFB-Pokal semifinal against RB Leipzig on Friday 30th April.
