Ludwig Augustinsson has been selected for Sweden in their squad for this summer’s European Championship. The Swedish Football Association announced the 26-man squad on Wednesday morning, with SV Werder’s left-back making the cut for Janne Andersson’s team.

This will be Augustinsson’s third major tournament for Sweden. While Ludde did not make an appearance at the 2016 European Championship, he played all five of Sweden’s matches at the 2018 World Cup and scored his first international goal in the 3-0 group-stage win over Mexico. His last goal came in March in a clash with Werder teammate Milot Rashica’s Kosovo.

The European Championship will run from 11th June to 11th July 2021. Sweden play their opening Group E match against Spain in Seville on 14th June, before facing Slovakia on 18th June and closing out the group stages against Poland on 23rd June, both in St. Petersburg, Russia.
