The squad situation ahead of Sunday’s trip to face 1. FC Köln (15:30 CET kick-off) is "very good" for Florian Kohfeldt, as he revealed during Friday’s press conference.
Ömer Toprak, who completed an individual indoor session on Thursday is available for selection. "He had a long session on Tuesday so the plan was always for him to train individually yesterday," explained Kohfeldt. Only Michael Zetterer is not fit to play this weekend. "Aside from that, everyone can play," announced the head coach.
Eduardo Dos Santos Haesler will once again travel as the back-up goalkeeper in place of the injured Zetterer. "He’s a regular now, he’s been training with us for a while and has been here for two or three years. He’s a very calm individual with a certain degree of humour. He never gets flustered or anything. I would have no concerns about him having to play in goal on Sunday should it come to that," said Kohfeldt regarding the back-up ‘keeper.
