Benjamin Goller will head on loan to second-division side Karlsruher SC for the 2020/21 season, sporting director Frank Baumann announced on Thursday.
"Benjamin has proven his potential in the Bundesliga this past season. In order to continue his development and to allow him to gain more playing time at a high level, we reached a joint decision for him to go on loan to a second-division side. Karlsruher SC is a good club to accomplish exactly that. As a newly-promoted team, KSC did not have an easy go of it last season, but are now looking to firmly establish themselves in Bundesliga 2," said Baumann.
Goller joined Werder from the Schalke U19s in summer 2019. The winger made 10 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, as well as a further two in the Regionalliga. Goller also featured once in the 2019/20 DFB-Pokal.
