Florian Junge to become assistant coach at SV Werder

Florian Junge has been appointed assistant first-team coach at SV Werder Bremen. Just like SVW’s new head coach Markus Anfang, the 35-year-old has joined the Green-Whites from SV Darmstadt 98. Junge, who holds a UEFA Pro Licence, previously served as assistant coach under Anfang at 1. FC Köln.

Junge gained his first experience of coaching at Borussia Dortmund. The Gladbeck native is a graduate of the DFB coach training course and spent several years coaching Bayer Leverkusen’s U15s in the Werkself’s academy. “They have known each other for a very long time and are a well-coordinated team together. Florian is an excellent fit on both a personal and a professional level,” explained Frank Baumann.
