SV Werder Bremen will have to do without left-back Ludwig Augustinsson for this Sunday’s home clash with TSG Hoffenheim and probably also for the away trip to Frankfurt on 31st October.
The Swedish international suffered a pulled hamstring in training on Wednesday morning. An MRI scan by team doctor Dr. Daniel Hellermann confirmed the initial diagnosis and showed that there was no structural damage to the muscles.
“It’s a big shame that Ludwig will be unavailable for the match against Hoffenheim and probably will probably also have to sit out the Frankfurt game as well. On the plus side, we’re very glad it’s not a more serious injury that would keep him out for a longer period,” said head coach Florian Kohfeldt.
