Kevin Vogt will miss the upcoming Bundesliga games against Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt. An MRI scan on Sunday morning showed that the 28-year-old defender suffered a knee tendon injury on Saturday in Leipzig.
“The knee is thankfully stable, and the MRI scan showed no damage to any ligaments. Despite that, it’s still a very painful injury. The knee will still take time to recover, but we don’t think he’ll be out for more than a few weeks. He definitely won’t play against Dortmund or Frankfurt though,” explained Werder head coach Florian Kohfeldt.
Fin Bartels will also be unavailable for the next two Bundesliga matches. The 33-year-old, who left Friday’s training camp early, will not recover from his adductor problems to face Frankfurt or BVB.
