Ludwig Augustinsson is back up for selection as Florian Kohfeldt prepares his team for Tuesday night’s home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Swede has recovered from his muscle injury and returned to the squad. Marco Friedl is also available: "He’s been given the all-clear, he can play," said Kohfeldt regarding the Austrian defender, who was forced off after receiving a knock in the closing stages in Freiburg.
Question marks remain over Kevin Vogt’s availability – Werder’s defensive all-rounder came off injured in the first half of the team’s 1-0 win on Saturday. "He’s on the right track to being able to play, but we need to wait and see. We’ve not lost hope there yet," said Kohfeldt ahead of tomorrow’s 20:30 CEST kick-off. The rest of the team all came away unscathed, added the coach. Only the suspended Philipp Bargfrede and those on the long-term injury list will be missed midweek.
Frank Baumann also gave a squad update at Monday’s press conference, revealing that Ömer Toprak is currently "re-integrating into team training step by step." It is not yet clear when the centre-back will be fully fit, but "it will not be this week or next week," said Baumann.
