After suffering a cruciate ligament tear in September, Niclas Füllkrug is finally back on the pitch. The Werder striker has been outside training for the last few days. "It's definitely great to be back outside, after seven months of training in the weight room," said the 26-year-old. "The fact that the weather is cooperating as well makes it even more fun."

The striker is taking his first steps towards completing his rehabilitation. Since suffering the injury in September 2019, Füllkrug has been working diligently to get to where he is now. His knee has healed well and he was able to finally practice his favourite thing: finishing. "I"m just working on getting used to it again," said Füllkrug. "But, we're working very diligently and intensely." Over the course of the coming weeks, Füllkrug's workload will slowly increase as he progresses towards eventually making his comeback.
