Josh Sargent has recovered from his cold and returned to full team training on Wednesday morning. Leonardo Bittencourt also returned alongside him after being unable to take part in recent sessions.
The 25-year-old midfielder spent Tuesday in the gym after completing 81 minutes in Leipzig in an effort to monitor his workload. Bittencourt, who has started every single game since the turn of the year, then returned to team training a day later on Wednesday morning.
Similarly Ludwig Augustinsson, who has been absent from training over the past few weeks due to a thigh problem, is optimistic about making his comeback in the upcoming Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund. One player who is guaranteed to return to the squad is Davie Selke, having already served his one-game suspension after being awarded his fifth yellow card of the season. The striker is certainly a candidate for Florian Kohfeldt’s starting XI against BVB.
