Werder Bremen had more bad news following the 1-0 defeat to 1. FC Köln on Saturday: left back Ludwig Augustinsson suffered a hamstring strain in his right leg, as confirmed by an MRI scane by club doctor Daniel Hellermann late on Saturday evening.

"It's obviously a shame that Ludde has picked up another injury just a few weeks after his comeback. We hope he can return to training during winter training. Whether or not he will travel on the training camp will be decided when we return on 2nd January," explained head coach Florian Kohfeldt.
