WERDER.DE brings you all the reaction from the mixed zone:
Sebastian Langkamp: "It was a good performance, though we weren’t quite perfect throughout. We looked to play forward and I’m very happy that we found the right response today with the second and third goals."
Florian Kohfeldt: "Overall, that was a dominant performance from the first to last minute from us. We knew that Düsseldorf would defend deep, which I why we opted to use Kevin Möhwald, as we wanted to utilise his long-range shots. The plan worked today."
Kevin Möhwald: "Milot started the move well for my goal. Max laid it off and I just hit it. Today we were focused on our own game again."
Davy Klaassen: "Tiki-taka doesn’t really work in a game like that. We need to fight and dig deep, then we could be successful. We worked as a team today and deserved the win as a result."
Martin Harnik: "I don’t want to talk about must-win games, but we were the favourites today and we showed it out there. We lost our calm temporarily, but we quickly got back on track and found the right response."
Florian Kohfeldt: "It was a very important win for us, which gives us some composure for the next few weeks."
Sebastian Langkamp: "That’s brought a lot of relief. We didn’t have the confidence, so it’s important to win. The team showed real character with that performance."
Max Kruse: "We wanted to trun a corner today and reduce the gap. We managed that."
Davy Klaassen: "The atmosphere has been good in recent weeks. We’re really close as a team and that shows. We needed to win today and the confidence from this win will do us a lot of good."
Florian Kohfeldt: "Josh is a very good player with a lot of ability. His first appearance, first home win and a first Bundesliga goal. This evening he should look back fondly on today and then tomorrow we get back to work in training."
Max Kruse: "I have to congratulate him. He earned this appearance over the last few weeks and he showed his hunger for goals."
Martin Harnik: "I can see a lot of myself in him and I’m really happy for him. He’s a really good lad and we’ll see a lot more of him in the future."
