The DFL confirmed the dates for matchdays 15-21 on Wednesday morning. Five of Werder’s games will take place on Saturdays, with a couple of big games being chosen for the late kick-off at 18:30 CET. The games against current table-toppers Borussia Dortmund and Europa League side Eintracht Frankfurt will be played under the lights.
Werder also have a mid-week game to look forward to just before Christmas, when they face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the Weserstadion on Wednesday 19th December (20:30 CET). The match against FC Augsburg will take place on the Sunday immediately following the DFB-Pokal tie in Dortmund. Florian Kohfeldt and the team will therefore get an extra day to recover.
