Everything around the Weser-Stadion has become somewhat quieter in the past few days. While some of the Werder boys have been enjoying a quiet few days, World Cup participants Ludwig Augustinsson and Yuya Osako as well as new signing Davy Klaassen have been training on the Osterdeich. That all changed on Saturday morning as the Green-Whites made their way south for the second training camp of pre-season ahead of 2018/19. Florian Kohfeldt’s boys left for Grassau am Chiemsee at around 9am, with a total of 26 players making up the squad for the six day training camp starting today, and ending on August 10th 2018.

The 26-strong group includes new signing Davy Klaassen, returnee Claudio Pizarro and World Cup participants Yuya Osako, Milos Veljkovic and Ludwig Augsustinsson.

Jaroslav Drobny, who injured himself in the friendly with FC Groningen and Kevin Möhwald (muscle strain) have no made the trip to southern Germany.
The boys can expect a lot of training sessions in Chiemsee, starting with one on Saturday afternoon following their arrival. There will then be two sessions on Sunday at 10 and 16.30. Unlike the training camp in Zillertal last month, there will be no friendly. The time in Chiemsee will be entirely dedicated to fine tuning ahead of the DFB-Pokal opener with Wormatia Worms on August 18th, and then the Bundesliga opener with Hannover 96 on August 25th at 15:30 CEST.
