Lennart Thy has left SV Werder Bremen to join Büyüksehir Belediye Erzurumspor in Turkey. The forward, who was on loan at VVV Venlo last season, has made an immediate move to the newly-promoted Turkish top-flight side. Werder sporting director Frank Baumann finalised the details and confirmed the transfer on Saturday morning.

"We wish Lennart all the best for the future and his new challenge in the Süper Lig," said Baumann. Thy returned to his youth club Werder from St. Pauli in summer 2016. However, he rejoined the Hamburg-based side on loan in the following winter break, before spending last season at Dutch Eredivise club Venlo.
