Werder will travel to TSG Hoffenheim for their final away match of the season without the services of striker Martin Harnik. The 31 year-old has sustained pains in his limbs and won’t travel to Sinsheim for Saturday’s match (15:30 CEST). Aron Johannsson will replace Harnik in the Green-Whites squad.

“Martin is suffering pains in his limbs and will consequently not travel. Theo (Gebre Selassie) coped well with our final training session. All of the question marks surrounding his inclusion have been answered,” said Werder head coach Florian Kohfeldt. Alongside the 18 man matchday squad, Davy Klaassen will travel to Sinsheim on Saturday. The Dutchman is suspended for the match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. “Despite the suspension, Davy has expressed his desire to travel with the team to the Hoffenheim match as he wouldn’t be able to bear watching the match from his sofa,” added Kohfeldt.
