Werder picked up three points for the first time in five games thanks to a great team performance against Düsseldorf. The Green-Whites started the game well, with Milot Rashica particularly lively, before Kevin Möhwald put his side in front on his first Bundesliga start (20’). There was a small setback just before the break, when Dodi Lukebakio equalised for Düsseldorf from the penalty spot after a handball from Sebastian Langkamp (43’). In the second half, it was the subs that changed the game. Martin Harnik came on and put Werder in front (71’). Josh Sargent then came on for his Bundesliga debut and scored with his first touch just two minutes later (78’).
