Werder head coach Florian Kohfeldt has nothing to worry about following the international break. “All of our international players have returned to the club fit,” said Kohfeldt in a press conference held this afternoon ahead of the game against Schalke 04.
Kohfeldt even has options available to him that he wouldn’t have expected to so soon. Martin Harnik will train with the rest of the team on Thursday afternoon, following some time out due to a thigh injury. “He’s coped well since returning and, despite what I expected, he’s in contention to be in the squad,” explained Kohfeldt.
It also seems likely that Sebastian Langkamp will be available for the game. The defender trained individually on Wednesday and could get the green light for the weekend. Maximilian Eggestein finished training early yesterday, but there’s no injury news to worry about.
