On Tuesday afternoon, the Green-Whites began a new training week in preparation for their game in Leverkusen on Sunday. Yuya Osako has returned to full first team training, as Florian Kohfeldt announced at lunch time.
There is another plan however for Aron Johannsson’s comeback. The striker will get some game time playing with the U23s against SSV Jeddeloh on Saturday. “He will return to full first team training in the beginning of April,” said Kohfeldt.
Ludwig Augustinsson and Milos Veljkovic meanwhile are both “training individually,” according to the Werder coach. Veljkovic will not be available for the weekend due to picking up five yellow cards and is suspended. The coaching team is preparing Augustinsson for the game on the weekend against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the two internationals next week. Therefore, the left-back will train a little less than usual this week.
Sebastian Langkamp has already started running again. The centre-back who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury will work his way back to the first team over the international break.
